Most healthy people of all ages are candidates for cosmetic tattoo, though each and every persons skin is different and will thus heal differently.
Factors to consider associated with skin type include:
Oily Skin: Most ideal for nano brows or shading techniques, not microblading, as microblading heals best on normal to dry skin types with limited sensitivity or texture - which is a lower percentage of people overall. Increased oil production can cause hair strokes to blur or bleed over time.
Darker Skin Colors: There may be less contrast and visible detail in the tattoo for those with a darker skin tone, specifically for brows.
Previously Tattooed Brows/Laser Tattoo Removal: Previous tattooing must be nearly invisible. Scar tissue associated with previous tattooing or tattoo removal may affect pigment retention and may require more sessions. Pre-approval is required by all artists.
You can not receive permanent makeup if you are: pregnant or nursing; under 18 years old; currently using Accutane or have used Accutane within the past year; have a freshly tanned/sunburned face; are on blood thinning medications; have Rosacea, dermatitis and or thin skin; are prone to keloid scarring.
Please make sure you are healthy enough to be tattooed before scheduling an appointment! If you have any concerns about whether or not you are a good candidate, specifically for a medical reason or skin concerns, please reach out directly.

In many cases yes — but previous tattooing must be nearly invisible and a pre approval is required. Scar tissue from previous tattooing or removal may affect pigment retention, so we'll assess your brows before booking. Please ask your specific artist if they can work with you.
-
Avoid blood thinners, alcohol, and caffeine before your appointment. Your artist will send detailed pre-care instructions after booking based on your service.

Once we have you at a point we are happy with, usually after two initial building sessions, you are good for a few years! Results typically last 1-3 years depending on the technique, your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Periodic touch-ups keep your enhancements looking fresh.

A touch up is not required, though is usually needed or preferred for the best long term results. Most cosmetic tattoos are a two step process, using your initial healed result as a base layer to then build on during the second touch up session. Speak with your individual artist to discuss if you will need one and any further questions!

Microblading creates crisp hair strokes with a hand tool (best for dry skin, no texture, little sensitivity or visible pores). Nanobrows create hair strokes with a machine, offering a soft diffused effect (suitable for all skin types). Powder brows create a soft shaded/ombre effect, like a soft shadow of color behind your brow to fix spareness and create more shape color and definition. Combo brows blend hair strokes with shading for the most dimension.
